Q. What is the qualification?

The qualification is a Management and Leadership Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) which is equivalent to any other nationally recognised qualification.
- Level 3 Diploma in Automotive Management Competence for First Line Managers.
- Level 5 Diploma in Automotive Management Competence for Middle Managers.

Q. What is the difference between a Qualification and Accreditation?

Both awards recognise achievement of a management standard – Accreditation requires ongoing assessment to validate current competence with a “sign up” to professional codes of conduct – Qualification lasts for life but may not mean a person is still competent.

Q. Can I still have a Spikey Profile with the qualification?

No the qualification route will not identify areas of potential (“spikes up”) you will need to go for the combined accreditation/qualification to get a Spikey Profile.

Q. What is VCQ?

Vocational Competence Qualification which means the manager has demonstrated competence in a workplace environment.

Q. Can I have a Qualification and an Accreditation?

Yes they both have different assessment requirements which will involve longer periods of assessment and additional costs to combine both awards.

Q. What is level 3?

First Line Manager – candidates should be aware this relates to the level of managerial impact on the business not necessarily the job title.

Q. What is level 5?

Middle Manager – candidates should be aware this relates to the level of managerial impact on the business not necessarily the job title.

Q. What is level 7?

Senior Manager – candidates should be aware this relates to the level of managerial impact on the business not necessarily the job title.
